Director Joseph Walters

Joseph Walters serves as Director of the Virginia Department of Corrections, bringing more than 30 years of public safety leadership to the role. His distinguished career includes service with the Virginia State Police and numerous executive leadership positions within the Department of Corrections. Director Walters holds degrees from Averett University and Virginia Tech.
