The Honorable Brian Swann

Former Deputy Secretary of Public Safety and Homeland Security

Brian Swann started his career in public safety in 1982 as a Fairfax County Police Officer. In 1987, Brian joined the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) where he served for 25 years. Since retiring from ATF Brian has served twice as Deputy Secretary of Public Safety and Homeland Security. In between serving the Commonwealth Brian was Director of Public Safety for the Richmond Redevelopment and Housing Authority.
